 Film stills.... in colour!
« Thread Started on Apr 19, 2006, 10:23pm »

I found these stills recently on a Swedish (I think) film website. The unusual thing about them is that they are in colour (whereas the film is black & white).

I guess they were designed to be used as promo material at some stage. Anyway, I have posted all the images below for you all to have a look at.

Having seen the film twice now and being compltely seduced by its monochrome cinematography, it's really strange looking at these colour pics, Dave!

I didn't even know these existed. Good find dave. It must be some kind of ancient legal requirement to get bothe b&w and colour as there is a fairly exstensive collection of Raging Bull stills that are in colour. It must be so they can trick people from other countries into thinking it's a normal film!

i watched twenty four seven for the first time last night and thought my crappy telly was on its way out for the first ten minutes after fiddling with scart leads and stuff i clicked over to bbc1 seeing colour realised the error of my ways and got in to the film. i have to say it took me a little longer to get into than the others i have watched but i blame this on the fact i thought my telly was about to pass away. all in all i really enjoyed it.

24/7 was the first one I saw, and I still love it. A little slice of modern life, with no added sugar.

It's this that makes me able to say - without a hint of irony - that Shane is the Mike Leigh of our cinematic generation. Not many ppl can make films that good with no shmaltz at all.
