hi everyone, This is a student short film made by me and some friends last year. It's our final University project and is currently being entered into film festivals all over the world (with us already coming runner up in one). This is the film link: www.imdb.com/video/wab/vi3951598873/And this is the link to our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/#!/pages/The-Melancholy-Nature-of-Magnetic-Fields/171676289550465 I hope you enjoy it and feel free to like our page

I fixed the Facebook link for you. I liked the look and the feel of the film, but just on a note of personal preference, I'm not a big fan of voice-over philosophical ponderings.. unless something very striking and original comes from it. That's just a personal opinion though, and I do like how the film is made, so I'm sure many people will like the film as a whole. "If he knew where I was going, then he would know about the journey also." That's not a given at all is it? Just being picky. ;D

Sorry about the link failure! I'm not too clever haha. I should probably mention, we didn't write the script, we just picked it out from 4 the Uni offered us, so we wanted to change it as little as possible. The writer is aware we're now going around film festivals etc and is very happy with our interpretation Thank you for the feedback though!

Thought the film was great. Really great cinematography. Loved the shots in the windows with the reflections.

I haven't seen Submarine yet but have really wanted to for a while. I'm a massive Ayoade and Considine fan so it should be the perfect film for me but our cinema decided not to show it

I'm with Dave and Gareth really Nicola. A disconnect-the 'deep' philosophical reflection of the guy on the journey and my inability to connect with the narrative. Sorry. Agree that the visuals had a kind of sadness/pathos though, so as an interpretive piece it was nice work.
