You deserve credit for being the one who got this film screened in the first place, and from the feedback I got from that... the improvements I made. Cheers! I'd like to come up for it... but I'm a busy lad these days. We'll see. Hopefully have a car by then?!

Thanks mate! ;D Screening went well on Friday. Really hard to tell how well it goes down, as it's not a comedy or a shocker or anything. There was silence, so I think that's a good thing. A good clap. At the end overheard someone saying "Interesting" which isn't a great word... Didn't win either of the prizes and no special mention. I spoke to the jury afterwards and they said it was among the best. People agreed it was certainly the most professional looking. A friend won the audience award, which was massively well deserved as his film is genius! Overall, great night!

"Away" will screen at Cambridge Film Festival TWICE this year! Hurrah! It's part of a selection of films made by people who work at my cinema. I know many people can't get down to cambridge, but anyone who does live near by anychance? Pop down for this one! Arts Picturehouse Cambridge Friday 18 September, 11:00PM Wednesday 23 September, 11:30PM cambridgefilmfestival.org.uk/films/2009/tridentfest/The programme will be about an hour long. Mine appears to be the oddball as it has no violence or comedy... not sure if that's a good thing or not :S anyway i've seen all the other films and they're all awesome. They are my mates who've made them though. I also helped out with a couple of them. **EDIT*** Trailer now online!*** You see my point above! Did anyone go to the Five Lamps screening in the end?! How were the audience?

Away is now online. Watch it on shooting people: shootingpeople.org/watch/film.php?film_id=80388Please give it a vote of whatever score you think it deserves! It'd be nice to get somewhere in the Film of the Month polls, but I doubt it'll get far! Says it only needs 4 votes though! It's also on Vimeo:

Not sure why the comments are disabled on the page.. can't see how to fix that.
