Just a quick update to say that I have been asked at the last minute to speak about Shane's career on BBC Radio Derby tomorrow at about 7.50am. Slightly awkward in that they'll want me to jabber about a TV show I've not yet seen, but I'll try my best. Cross your fingers that I don't make a twat of myself and please listen in if you're in the locale. M. Have PM'd you a snippet of Derbyshire-specific info to help you on your way...

Not 100% sure, but I think Chromebaby was interviewed on Radio Derby and was able to upload a-short lived- link to the broadcast.

Yes.. and then I copied it and kept it in the archive! ;D Good luck with the interview!

Just finished watching it... my comments here are*SPOILER FREE* for those who were forced to watch summat else and have to watch on C4+1! What did I think of it? Absolutely corking! I'd been really looking forward to this and have to say I wasn't disappointed! Great to see the two 'separate' storylines (i.e. Shaun's and 'everyone else') running together! Absolutely seamless! And I ain't saying this to flatter Shaun here, if I didn't like it I'd certainly say (albeit tactfully I'd hope). A fair mix of fun and sadness - PROPER DRAMA on telly for a change! Everyone involved shoud be VERY PROUD - excellent!!! AND Perry Benson - you deserve an award for your role as Meggy!!! Top stuff!!! Can't wait until the next part! Not often I look forward to much on tv nowadays (as the majority is cr*p) - but this is def. on my "Come on... hurry up 'til the next episode!" list!

Waayyy finally! Can't really add much to what Chewbaxter said, so yes like he said. Oh, and really loved the opening sequence. Thought the balance between humour and heavy stuff was just right. And quite nicely done in terms of getting the balance between a follow on for TIE fans and an introduction to the characters for those new to it. Some nice back story coming out in that 'crisps' exchange-intrigued as to where that will go. Great stuff! Well done one and all...and especially Vicky ;D

I thought the casual bully character was way o.t.t. Less is more especially when your filming an allegedly social realist project. I was wetting myself at the character but in the way I would laugh at a Borat or something like that. If the director would have pared that character down ever so slightly the serious scenes would have had more impact.
Still, top tv overall
