I always wanted to go up to that abandoned castle every time i saw it going for a blast through matlock, never could find what i thought was the entrance though.
It spun me right out when i rented this film dead man's shoes out from blockbuster and saw some places i actually knew.
I'm from derby and the castle is only about ten to fifteen miles from my house and when you own a bike it's like a religious thing that you have to go to matlock. The first time i saw it up on that hill i was like what's that doing all the way up there, looked back at the road and realised i was about to make a new hybrid vehicle, the cbr600rr/bedford van

How far away is Matlock from Nuneaton? Is it an easy drive? I would love to go and see where the final scene was shot. If someone could e-mail me directions I would really appreciate it. Thanks x

Me and my boyfriend went to Riber Castle yesterday! It was brilliant! It felt so strange being there. Easy enough to find though. A beautiful place will definately be going again!! xx

Hey
Don't know If I told you all about my ghostly experince at Riber Castle. I was just telling Miss.Donk.
Well as you might know Riber Castle was turned into a Zoo. So of course a t a zoo they would have a vet. Now one section of Riber Castle is a vets and inside they have all these cages and stuff.
Well when my friend and I visted Riber Castle we thought It would either be full of Chavs or Skag Heads so we picked up two impressive looking sticks!
We made our way threw Riber Castle and decided to go upstairs in the vets. After looking at the cages I thought it was silly still having the sticks. So as we went to walk down the stairs I through my stick to the otherside of the room and began making my way down.
Half way down the stairs my stick came flying down and narrowly missed my head and hit my friend in the back. Needless to say we both legged it as fast as we could!
Still stayed to look around though. But all the time I was their there was this creepy presence.
Anyhoo! Have Fun when you next go to Riber Castle!

Hey Morell! I have messaged you directions. They seem a lot more complicated than they actually are. It is really easy from Burton. I went all the way from Nuneaton and didn't have to turn around once ;D Have fun  And remember to take your camera the view is amazing. x |

As I'm not that far away (Staffordshire) I'm gonna definitely have to do the tour anyone know the road where Sonny and Richard meet for the first time (albeit consciously).

Took the trip up today, the view from Riber Castle is great. The devils hut was very eerie and smaller than it looks in the film. Also took a trip into matlock to Sonny's Club which I has a bit of trouble finding at first even though it turned out be bang in the centre of the town. Took some video footage at Riber Castle, the missus thinks I'm obsessed.
