Anyone remember Ptang yang kipperbang I loved that film as a lovestruck kid, that was financed by film four wasn't it. Film four was the British film industy for many years. Shane being that DMS was a film four production does that mean it will get a fairly rapid terrestial screening as they used to?
Ptang yang kipperbang uuhheehh

Great news! how about Shane and Paddy doing Frank Spencer : The Movie as well (due to his likeness in the funeral scene in DMS) I'd love to see Paddy in an out and out comedy.

A friend of mine is a professional photographer and eight or nine years ago started a project called "The Degrees Project" based on the Kevin Bacon degrees game in aid of diabetes. He's now photographed dozens of a-list stars including Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Morgan Freeman and recently relased his book 'Degrees' which Kevin has written the afterword for. When he was an amateur photographer he sent out over 300 requests to different celebritys and got back one yes from Joss Ackland and then through referrals from each star managed to get the book made. I did mention to him that he should try and get Paddy but he'd nearly finished the book when I suggested it. If anyones interested his website is here www.andygotts.com and the book is available at www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0954684362/qid=1134297556/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/202-2187624-7219852He's now working on the new Morten Harket solo album artwork and got me a dedicated autograph for my wife whos a huge fan (shame I could have probably got Paddy's if I'd mentioned him earlier). If you read this Shane and ever need some publcity photos drop me a line and I'll send you his contact details

Yes I agree totally, but given the fact you'd be hard pressed to find many of Shane's earlier films at Blockbuster or in the high street retailers it does give you the opportunity to try before you buy. Having said that I'm confident all Shane's movies are great after seeing DSM and ARFRB. Since seeing DSM I've lent it to quite a few friends who have since gone out and purchased it themselves so personally I think that in the case of small underground movies such as Shane's it can have a very positive effect.

I have to admit I had never heard of Shane or any of his movies before stumbling across a trailer of Dead Man's Shoes on the net. This was around Christmas time and the film had finished it's run at the cinema and i could find no details of a DVD release. A friend of mine manged to obtain a screener copy of it from the usual sources and I have since bought both DMS and 'A room for Romeo Brass' as a result. Given the sorry state of distribution of our own films in this country it would be interesting to hear peoples opinions on the morality of this (especially Shanes). When in all probabality the film would probably have completely passed me by otherwise.
