Yes, Andrew Shim tweeted that the scene was entirely improvised. That scene was the stand out for me in the whole episode, and as I said in my previous post, that was the scene that stayed with me after the episode had finished and had me thinking about it all day on Monday

I don't think I've got the words to express what I'm feeling about last night's finale. This whole series has been a roller coaster of emotions, and last night topped them all. I was sat with my heart in my mouth. Who'd have thought after Combo's actions in the film, I'd have actually been on his side last night. There were giggles one minute (a particular highlight being Woody's face when Chrissie slapped his mum) and tears the next. The final scene was pure gold. I had tears in my eyes as the credits started to roll as this signalled the end of a group of characters and their stories that have played a huge part in my life so far. I watched This is England when I was 15 (I'm 21 now) and the film stayed with me for days after I'd watched it. This was the first film I'd ever watched which made me feel that way, and I can only thank Shane, the cast and the rest of the crew for introducing me to some of the most quality pieces of film and TV I've ever watched. The scene between Combo and Milky was perfectly apt and has stayed with me for the whole of today. Stephen Graham and Andrew Shim have an incredible screen presence when they are together, as do Vicky McClure and Chanel Creswell. I was so pleased that Lol and Kelly had a happy ending. Harvey is brilliant, and everyone needs a friend like Gadget! I was so pleased that what happened to Trev in 86 was finally acknowledged. Going back to episode 3 with the dinner table scene, I think that scene will go down as one of the best TV scenes I've ever watched, an incredibly powerful scene that had me physically shaking afterwards. I am so glad Woody and Lol finally got their big day, and it was also great to see some old faces. Woody and Lol forever! I don't know what it is about this cast that works so well, but I'm properly gutted that this may be the last we will see of the gang. The cast are pure magic, and I think last night's episode was a fitting end to what has been an incredible journey.

Re watched the episode again today. I really genuinely enjoyed it and I giggled a lot even though I'd seen it on Sunday! Really enjoying Harvey, his impressions of Smell had me laughing out loud. One of my favourite scenes was the one when Woody's mum talks down about Lol's job. I've never been a dinner lady but I was a cleaner and I can't tell you the amount of times I've had that kind of conversation with people! Also Woody on the phone with his dad was another highlight for me. Kelly's throwaway comment to Woody about him actually having a mom and dad was clever too, maybe a bit of foreshadowing there for future episodes?? Overall, I thought it was an enjoyable episode! Nice to have a laugh with the gang for a change! I was born 1993 so I don't have much recollection of the 90s. There were certain things I could relate to like the school dinners but I love seeing 'what was', as it were. Bring on episode two!!

Hi Dave! Yes, Andrew Shim in particular has been hinting a few times about filming edging closer. I noticed the 1st Assistant Director was on Twitter. Oh Dave, you man of mystery! I would love to know your guesses!

Wasn't sure where to post this, I first saw the post on Facebook, but it also appeared on Twitter! From Warp Films' Twitter account: Watch this space at 10pm GMT tonight (Aug 26) Here's the first paragraph: ' Tonight (August 26) at 10pm GMT, we will be releasing the live link to an eBay page (via Facebook and Twitter) for your chance to bid to be part of Shane Meadows and Warp Films final instalment of the This Is England TV series, which is filming in and around Sheffield next month (Sept 2014)'. The money goes to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Hey Zoe, that's a great find! I remember Shane saying more than a year ago that Pukey would be back in This Is England '90, but it had been all very quiet on that front for so long I presumed it wasn't happening. He's the lead actor in that new film just coming out called Starred Up about a youth offender being moved into proper prison because he's so uncontrollable. I haven't seen it properly yet, but we screened it at work a few months ago for the Independent Cinema Office and the bits I saw seemed amazing... well Jack O'Connell's performance seemed amazing, it was hard to judge the story from just tiny bits! ha Hey, Dave! Yes, I've seen the trailer and I really want to see the film - I've seen lots of good things about Jack's performance so think it's definitely a must see! Although, to be honest, I've long been a fan of Jack so I might be a bit biased!

Hi everyone, long time since I've posted on here! Just thought I'd pop in and add that Mark Herbert posted on Twitter yesterday that the process for This is England '90 is getting underway this week. Mark's tweet if you haven't already seen it: Mark Herbert marksherbert 23h The process has begun for #ThisIsEngland90. Shane is workshopping with some cast this week so writing can start with Jack Thorne in 2014. Yay! Zoe x

Wow, I was actually right about something! Ha, thanks for clearing that up! I've always been too shy to ask in case it had been asked before or whatever ;D - I can now watch the film and know that he's definitely the father!

I too have always wanted to know the answer to this question when it just suddenly occurred to me when I was watching the film a few months ago. I've always been too shy to ask! If anyone could answer this, that'd be great! ;D
