Mr Brooks - Kevin Costner superbly playing against type (serial killer) in a very dark psychological thriller about a man who is sometimes controlled by his murder-and-mayhem-loving alter ego (William Hurt). Very good but slightly tainted by Demi Moore's bolt-on subplots.

Hannibal Rising - Much better than the reviews would have you believe. Fearless Freaks - Excellent Flaming Lips documentary but i wish it had more on the Yoshimi album.

SLADE IN FLAME- Fokking great! Imagine Ken Loach directing A Hard Days Night. HIDDEN (Cache) Great thriller but who dunnit? Still thinking about this one. DARK WATERS. Low budget Russian Horror flick that disturbed me no end. Wasn't smart arsed or refferential brilliant! More Hammer ;D Wow Dark Waters thats a film i've not thought about or seen for years, in the early 90s i got a freebie ticket to see this at a showing arranged by either Terror (short lived horror mag) or Shivers cant remember which. It was at a Soho cinema where the director gave a brief introduction and horror writer and all round genius Kim Newman was in attendance. Did you see this on DVD because i would love to see this again. Cool just found it on Amazon!

Loud Quiet Loud - A documentary following the reformation of the Pixies. I really enjoyed this as it was much more than just another tour DVD its showed the complex ego's and strange dynamic of the Pixies second time around.

I loved a bittersweet life but dont think it comes anywhere near Old boy. Better than PCWs other films though. Not too keen on Lady Vengeance. Ive got JSA (joint security area) but ive not watched it as yet. Anyone else seen it? Bought it recently but yet to watch it. Looking forward to something very different with IM A CYBORG BUT THATS OK it looks very quirky/funny from the trailer. Have you seen SAVE THE GREEN PLANET its a very bizarre violent comedy also from Korea well worth checking out.

I have lots of love for Old Boy, Mr Vengeance and Lady Vengeance but i think Bittersweet Life does it with a little bit more style.

A Bittersweet Life - Really liked it. The main character was a bit... invincible... but it worked. I thought it shat on Old Boy to be honest. A great film really stylish and funny the final showdown is amazing.

Deja Vu - I liked Man On Fire and hated Domino, Deja Vu falls somewhere in-between it is well made and nicely shot with a good cast but unfortunately the whole time travel storyline while handled carefully (as carefully as any time travel can be) just taints it.

No thats HEART OF DARKNESS which is another film based around Joseph Conrads novel. HEARTS OF DARKNESS: A FILM MAKERS APOCALYPSE is an amazing feature length documentary about the making of APOCALYPSE NOW it has never been released on DVD and to my knowledge not been on TV for many years. It was shot by Copolla's wife and has some shocking/amazing/strange revelations about AN, most notably Martin Sheen having a breakdown and heart attack whilst filming the opening scenes which Coppola keeps filming.
