Say, chromebaby, you wouldn't happen to listen to Chrome by any chance..? And by Chrome I mean these guys. Every time I see a post from you , I hear the song "Firebomb" in my head. ;D I've not heard of them, no. The little speaker icons didn't work on the page so I don't what they sound like yet either. I did a search on YouTube but drew a blank. I'll search again in a bit. Here you go, (not the best quality, but you'll get the drift!)

Just listening to a bit of Dark Captain Light Captain for the first time and really impressed by their quality. Acoustic-tinged six piece with a good ladling of vocal harmonies and a fidgety drummer. La Myspace de Dark Captain Light CaptainI mention them because they sound like the kind of stuff that goes down well here... given that now sound right similar to an industry plant of sorts I may as well add that the Miracle Kicker album (all I've got of theirs at the moment) contains the most beautiful album-closing song in "Questions". Is it the album closer? No, plonked slap in the middle at number 5, cos there's more to come. Lush!

I've been listening non-stop to Fleetwood Mac's Tusk. It's amazing... like so so so good. I love Rumours but Tusk really is something different.

It's just too long and I don't think there are any standout classics on there. I prefer 'Tango in the Night' and their self-titled 'Fleetwood Mac'. I also really love Lindsay Buckingham's more recent solo efforts.

"Walk A Thin Line" to me is a stand out classic. To me it almost sounds like an album by three different solo artists in Lindsay, Christie and Stevie's different songs. But to me that works so well. I'm gutted I missed them last year but I had just had an operation and wernt up for it!

Muse - The Resistance - A lot better than their last album. Epic stuff. Covering new ground. Love it!

At the moment I really can't get enough of The Go-Betweens; a really influential Australian indiepop group in the 80's and reformed for 3 albums about ten years back before the tragic death of songwriter Grant McLennan in 2006.
I've had their best of compilation "Bellavista Terrace" for donkeys years now, but I'm going to get hold of all their material and listen in chronological order because I believe the time is right. Probably their most well known song is "Streets Of Your Town", in the You Tube video below. Simply gorgeous.

Just gave Between The Buried and Me's "Colors" another go. This time, finally, I really got into it! Nearly gave up about a quarter of the way through, but stuck with it. Glad I did! Absolutely superb. I love the variety. Just annoyed it had to be interrupted by those DAMN Spotify Shockwaves ads... man they're annoying. Especially as these songs clearly flow into one another. Interrupted by some un-funny twat saying "BRUSH YOUR HAIR" IN A "FUNNY" ACCENT. Gonna have to buy the CD I think! I bet the Live CD is pretty special too. Also been listening to Thom Yorke's "The Eraser" a lot recently too. After seeing him Live for FREE (and was also in the front row for the first 15 seconds of his set, filming for the Green party) at the Corn Exchange last month. Pretty amazing gig! The album is awesome, creepy and beautiful. faves are: Analyse, Black Swan, and Harrowdown Hill.

BTBAM's music can take a while to 'click' but I find it most rewarding when it does. It's a bit too metal on the surface for most people, so they are not inclined to persevere with it. Yes, you must get CDs all round! Strangely, I might even recommend that you buy the live CD first because it comes with a bonus DVD. The amazing thing is, this isn't the usual 'bonus' DVD that often comes with an album. You know, they don't usually feature much of interest at all. The Colors live bonus DVD is the main reason to buy the live CD! It's probably my favourite music DVD ever. It really could have (and probably should have) been released with the DVD as the main item... with bonus CD. Basically, it's the live CD recording professionally filmed to a very high standard... featuring many lovely close-ups of the skilled musicianship. But not only that, they also did a second live set on the same night of songs from theisr back catalogue, chosen by fans. Amazing value! That's about another 8 or 9 songs (not on the CD). ...and usually for only about 7 or 8 quids! www.amazon.co.uk/Colors-Live-Between-Buried-Me/dp/B001ET8GNY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1269524931&sr=8-1Buy that!
