PS3 II died on its arse a mere year into its usage. Quite pissed off with that. The graphics card must be arsed because I can't get any picture off it, no matter what cables I use.

Play.com are crap, so I have some exclusive pre-order costume codes for LittleBigPlanet 2 but no game.

Had to wait til yesterday before I could do anything about it! Amazon seems the best choice these days, often just as cheap, and free postage now too.

Well that is a shitter! Was it the new slimline PS3 this time? Sounds like you're getting Xbox360 style amounts of failure! As for Play.com... Yes, they have gone to shit. No idea what happened, but I noticed it a couple of months before xmas. Stuff taking up to a week to appear. I also ordered Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock from them, and I received the bloody Wii version, despite even the enclosed invoic/receipt stating PS3 on it! That was the last straw! haha Only Amazon for me now, never had a issue with them I don't think. Like Ryd says, Play no longer have any price advantage with their free postage because Amazon do it too now. My LBP2 turned up today and my codes were emailed nicely too! ... and speaking of Amazon, they just started their own video game trade-in service. I have usually been selling games I am bored of or have completed via Play or Amazon, but you incur fees and have to pay postage. This new service is totally free. You search the games that they will accept, click on it, and you print out a free postage label! Nice! I've done it once so far and got 30 quids for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood! Amazing. You get paid in Amazon gift certificates which is fine by me. Most games are not worth much at all, but it's worth having a look because it costs you nowt! www.amazon.co.uk/Trade-In/b/ref=amb_link_158327627_4?ie=UTF8&node=440443031&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=14BV7YP7PGZA8W58V8HB&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=228922747&pf_rd_i=300703I investigated Amazon.com and they do trade in for DVD and Blu-Ray too! Can't wait for that to come to the UK.

Did you order LBP2 from Play as well, Dave? Or did Amazon have a costume bonus as well?
I wish I'd got it from a supermarket. Would've been a few pence cheaper as well.

From Amazon.... and you already seem to know, I don't recall Amazon ever mentioning the LBP2 costume codes as a pre-order bonus... but I got an email never the less. It's Ratchet and Clank costumes... maybe it's different for Play? Still not had chance to play the game yet though.. can't wait for the Stephen Fry banter again!

Can't wait for L.A. Noire
..from Rockstar games... that's a real sign of quality!
Not only does it sound like it's going to be really interesting with a mix of action sequences and crime solving, but it looks like it's going to be a real landmark in video game acting.
It simply looks stunning. They have captured the all aspects of the actors face... not just the mouth and eyes, but every facial muscle movement. It looks spookily good.

Right... so the PS3 online service has been off for days now. It was hacked up good and they're trying to improve security before putting it all back online. They took the whole thing offline themselves when they realised it was hacked. Anyway, latest news is pretty bad actually.... personal details all possibly comprimised. blog.eu.playstation.com/2011/04/26/psnqriocity-service-update/It's taking a while to load that page at the moment. I guess it's because so many people are trying to look at it before weeping.

I'm currently a little bit addicted to playing Goldeneye 007 online. I keep playing because on some maps, I seem to be rather good at it. I kind of wish I wasn't so I didn't spend so much time on it... Main game is good, but side quests are pretty boring, just involving finding things. I reckon I'll get a 3DS in July, along with the remade Zelda OOT. I must have completed this game about 8 times. But being a Nintendo/Zelda geek, I have to play through again in 3D. I'm really hoping they'll release Majoras Mask on it too, as it's basically my favourite game of all time. Also looking forward to both Resident Evil games.

I might give OOT a go, seeing as I got it for the Gamecube an age ago.
