Just had a thought the other day, as there are so many of us on here interested in film making. What do you all think of a big collaborative short we could do? I don't know how it would all work exactly, and it's probably too "pie in the sky", but if we could shoot it over a weekend somewhere (those of us who'd have to travel could kip on floors or in B&Bs or whatever), it might be possible.

Great Idea...Maybe Shane should make a short and we all be in it like Simon Pegg did with his fans and the zombies in 'Shaun'. All site members could audition for roles on the day then straight to video for us all.
Genius.

It would be really cool. Id like to meet a lot of people from the board in person and have a good old chat.

well, firstly we've gotta get a idea/script/story for the short film, and throw our ideas together and then agree, thats the first step right?

This is a wicked idea, I wouldn't mind doing my bit. I've written a couple of scripts (probably not much use for this though) so could chuck in a couple of ideas... failing that, I drive a mean Berlingo and can sweep floors like there's no tomorrow! Should definitely somewhere include the line 'Who threw that pasty'

Excellent, the script can be left to the experts, im pretty good at producing creative criticism.
I can sweep floors too, and would probably make a good fluffer ;D
Other than that, id be happy to help in anyway. Im also pretty handy on the drum machine and synth, if a musical piece was needed.

As organisation is very key to this, perhaps one or two of us would need to step forward as producers? Or at least we could come up with a questionnaire - location/able to drive/" and that kind of thing.

a questionaire sounds good, we need to work out what everyone's roles would be as mentioned above, who would be best for producing, music, camerawork, editing etc etc and then once we all know our roles, and we have a script we can get organising a shoot.
