Great little film! I'm gutted that I didn't have the idea, as I love immortals (There can be only one!). It goes on a bit long, but the dialogue (well, monologue) is very good. Colin sounds very realistic, very authentic - he reminded me of the actual morons you get in television documentaries of the "Wife Swap" variety (or Big Brother), or even guests on something like Trisha. "In a way... Like... You know?"
The music was very well-suited too, the tragic element of it helped tons.

Cheers Patrick. Yes, pace wise it is long at 10mins, but I felt that the pathos and comedy give it edge to work around.
Toying with doing a festival run with it - along with my feature film Icharus Broken. Who knows - I'll see where we go next with it.
Cheers again - Tom.

Speaking of which, Tom, I tried emailing you about Icharus Broken but the email bounced back!
The festival circuit is a good idea - the film comes across as very professional. One of my lecturers is responsible for the Stafford Film Festival, and you're miles above a lot of the stuff they show. What camera did you use?

For Icharus - we shot HDV on a ZX1. For any fellow film making geeks - it's the nuts... Ha ha. And for Colin, I used my own Sony widescreen handycam. I definitely recommend that anyone looking to shoot a feature, if you can get your hands on a HDV camera, you should. The quality is atounding, and a they use miniDV tapes, it's still relatively cheap. The whole of Icharus (including paying the ast £60.00 a day and feeding them) was £1,600. Well worth it.
Will look into the Stafford Film fest. Trying for all sorts of fests at the mo. Made one last year - in Toronto, but would be cool to make a few over here. Just trying to get some love! Ha ha.
Cheers - Tom.

Following Dazza's idea... here's the short film Colin Can't Be Killed for those who have never seen it...

Hey - just wanted to resurrect this thread, and use it to let you all know that NEXT MONDAY (March 19th) Colin Can't Be Killed will be featured on the cable and sattelite channel, Trouble.
It goes out at 11:00pm, but will be a bit odd to see that daft little film we made for a few quid is going to be on the telly.
So far, Colin has now stormed Toronto DNA Film Fest, made the front page of a Manchester newspaper and now this. Typical! Ha ha.
Trouble is on Sky channel 201, and Virgin Media, channel 140.
And a sweet reminder for those who want to see it now, well, you can see it here.
Cheers - Tom.
