Nice one mate, get the voice over done asap yeah. Will do.... although I guess it will be more of a 'voice-under' considering the visuals will be laid down on top, rather than the 'voice-over' being layed down on top of the visuals.

Let the excuses fly! Right... I have honestly been pig sick for the last 5 days so I am well behind in terms of what I wanted to have done by now. To make matters worse, the voice-over stuff I recorded, I now feel is just too crap for even my tastes, so I want to do it all again. It's also all too long considering it's running at about one joke every five minutes! Next job is trimming the script as much as possible, and then re-recording the voice-over. I really think it is necessary to do these things... or am I subconciously putting other stuff off? Who knows?

Right.. just finished the second of the 6 sections of this film. It took me two days solid graft... and that's not even a joke! The section just finished is just over 3 minutes in length, so I'm guessing the finished film will be about 20 minutes in total. A bit long for a watch on the web perhaps, but the structure will hopefully keep people watching. As I mentioned before, it's basically 6 short films combined into one (well, the first section is more of an intro).
To be honest, I don't reckon I'll finish it by the 20th, but rest assured, I'm going at it like mad now. i was also ill for 5 days recently, so did nowt, so that's put me behind as it is.
To give you a gist of the work I'm doing, the three minute section I just finished contains the follwing stuff I had to create: 2 original pieces of music. 1 fake document 5 photoshopped images 3 or 4 video effects. A 3 minute voice-over Alot of panning around photographs
This is why its taking a while!
Right.. which bit to start next!?

In what is becoming my own shoddy little film-making blog, I can now announce I have finished another section of the film! That's 3 of the 6 now. The best news however, is that I have got the two most 'effects heavy' sections out of the way now! haha... What I mean by effects is basically a load of photoshopping and not some George Lucas scale mess! ;D
Onto the fourth part next, which involves chopping in some lovely archive film I found as a public domain file.

Right.. well my self set dead-line of the 20th of September has come and almost gone..... and basically I have failed to finish my short film (if 20mins is short!). I've already milked the illness excuse, but that's partly to blame! The good news is that I am actually tantalisingly close to being finished! Hoorah. This thread with it's comments from others and with it's reams of me talking to myself, has definitely got me to this near finished state! To be honest, if it wasn't for all the chat on this film-making forum I would never have shifted my arse to even start the project! So thanks all... it's been inspirational! Just give me a few more days!
