I DIDN'T MAKE THIS, but someone posted it on another forum and I thought it'd go down a treat with all the Meadows Maniacs. At the very least it'll put a smile on your face, especially in light of the recent superhero thread ;D The Impossible DreamDave might recognise the soundtrack

That was nice enough... but a bit long for what it was.
It looks like they originally shot a short film with dialogue, because there are clips that obviously have talking in. In the end, they turned it into a music video.
But good music choice anyway! ;D

>It looks like they originally shot a short film with dialogue, because >there are clips that obviously have talking in. In the end, they turned >it into a music video. Actually, no! I shot that film - a friend lent me a video camera (Canon XL2) for a while, and rather than shoot my house, girlfriend, dog, etc for tests I just called up a friend and said lets shoot something. The night before I had been listening to Carter, and got the idea of an urban "Man a la Mancha" - so I just went with it. It was to be all set to music. There are moments went the "star" talks to the various passersby that we met, but that was just incidental - I purposely didn't want to deal with recording dialogue. You're right that it's a bit long, but again the song came first, and I just filmed to fit that. So all in all, I'm pleased because it was the first thing I ever shot (ever... I only used a camcorder once about 10 years ago) and edited, and again, it was just a handy thing for me to get to know how to use the camera. It was a great learning experience on all fronts, and it was a fun time which made it much nicer

Oh dear! It seems I can't even make mis-judged comments about short films I see on the internet now, for fear of the film-maker appearing on here and putting me straight! It was certainly a good first film! Nice one. Bit long though! ;D (says the plonker who just did a 20 minute film of nonsense!).
