This camera seems to be the film world equivalent of the Big Brother racism row.
Last year some chap, with no history of any involvement in cameras decided to invent one and take on ARRI and Panavision. He claims to have built a video camera which can equal the quality of 35mm film for the price of a prosumer camera. Unsuprisingly it has got a few people talking with claims ranging from it being an elaborate fraud to the single greatest event to happen in film-making.

www.reduser.net/forum/index.php is the official forum set up by dvxuser and the creator of RED ONE. I really don't like this site. It seems to be full of unhinged people who think that owning one is going to turn them into steven spielberg (scarily this actually isn't too much of an exagaration)
is a slightly more balanced forum. This is the 'professional' forum run by some hollywood cameramen. A lot of the users seem to be really threatened by the camera and can be quite antagonistic towards RED.
The cinematography forum is the most amusing (and seems to contain more level headed information). Not really sure what I think yet but I suppose it is something inbetween. As someone mentioned somewhere owning this camera is suddenly not going to make you create better films. Pretty interesting stuff though (some of the techical details can get a bit confusing I thought however)
