Hey guys,
I know you thought it was all dead but the meadows maniacs documentary could be back on.
I have been selected to Pitch the idea to a panel of financiers at this years Scottish Students' on Screen event this Friday. If chosen, I will be given £1000 and help to get the film made by the summer.
So just thought I'd let you know that I may be turning up at your doors sooner rather than later and hope that everyone is still at least a little interested!!

Salv, sorry I can't help you with your query, but all the best with your presentation on Friday. In my experience (begging for money is a part of my job!), it's all about 'buzz words' or phrases; 'creative communities', 'transcending boundaries', blah, blah, blah. Plus, there are lots of creative Scots on site-no- even if it turns out there weren't any in the film?  Anyway, hope you get the cash-I really want to see your doc!! |

If you need to play up the Scottish dimension, could you maybe make a pitch for how the site brings Scottish talent (writers and film makers) together with a wider creative community? Alternatively, you could always lie-lazy f**kers never check these things  . Anyway, good luck tomorrow. |

My application has been given the go ahead without any changes and so tomorrow I will be pitching the original idea I had with the site.

Alas, I never got the money, sorry guys. They did say that the project was bigger than what they were offering and that I should start contacting companies with it.... No idea how to go about this though..
