I have a of the shelf dvd/hdd camera, it's pretty good quality, and i've been making dafl little videos like news reports where the news reporter is just totally insane and little things like that. But I wanna make a proper short films, I've got a few cool ideas.
Would anyone be able to give me advice, just anything would be helpful. Thanks.

Just do it! But keep it simple, don't over complicate things for a no budget short film. Maybe check out a few that are already on here and see how others have done theres. Have fun with it. Anything else you need to know just ask, if its all techincally stuff like how to load on to youtube ask Mr.Ryd or Lord Dave.
Good luck, and look forward to seeing your shorts.

hi rosturnbul film in as near to widescreen as your camera will allow, try and use whatever manual settings your camera will allow, try not to use zoom to much, keep it steady and maybe use a tripod, try to film in decent light and remember that sound is as important as video. oh and try and use a good narrative, poems are very good for trying out with but have a pop at writing your own as it is very satisfying. good look
