Hi all, thought you might like to take a little gander of a film we are well on the way with filming, no trailer yet but plenty of screen grabs to feast your eyes on, the film is due for a release in 2008. We have managed to get some great actors on board which is an acheivement in itself considering how close to the knuckle some of the humour is, i can't really divulge much but what i will say is there is nothing at all out there that even comes close to this type of film, it is best described as a farrelly brothers type movie but very British in it's humour, it's basically about a bloke who has been dumped by his bird and he is helped and hindered by his best mate while being stalked by someone claiming to be proffessor stephen hawking. here is a link to the screen grabs thus far! www.pleasedsheep.com/forums/showthread.php?t=324ps I know it's not a short but i just thought I'd put it up

cheers dazza, yeah she's in a small scene. we are hoping it will be released in 2008 sometime, not sure when exactly as all the audio needs to be A.D.R'd and it will have to be colour graded but were're cracking on with it. it's on imdb as a 2008 release but that could change!!

Will it be in small independent cinemas or mainstream then?

hopefully mainstream, the thing is the director has a film still awaiting release which is going to be shown at over 100 cinemas nationwide and because of this film the distribution company want to see Bar stewards when it is finished, also the manchester film festival are going to showcase it hopefully next year if it is finished on time even though they usually concentrate on shorts. the film still awaiting release is called diary of a bad lad and it should have been released last autumn but there is some problem with the uk film council and digital screens www.bad-lad.com

Looks awesome! What have you shot it on?
That guy thats in it, its him from corrie isnt it? He is a mate of one of my mates from bolton. Went out on a night out with a group of em a year or two back.
I heard a story that Russel Grant bid for him in a celebrity human slave for the day auction? Get him to tell you the story if he hasn't already!
So is this lottery funded? What's your role?

hi andy, yeah it is him from corrie, chris finch. no it isn't lottery funded we are all working for free which is good in a way because everyone seems to try that little bit harder knowing that the end product could help their careers. we are shooting it on a hvx200 with an m2 adapter and are using a couple of kino flo lights and some red heads. my role in it is officialy an associate producer but as with all super low budget stuff i assit the dop and am sometimes the boom operator, sometimes first ad and i'm even in it playing a very small part, we have also got a few well known actors doing cameos but i'm not at liberty to say who as the finer details havent yet been sorted on that part. cheers for the interest

Wow. Just read up on that camera. Those shots look the business. Are they ungraded too? You're from blackburn arent you? I'm in Accrington so if you ever need a tea boy give me a shout. Would love to be involved in any capacity.
Me and my bunch are looking to shoot a substatial length film this summer. Maybe even, dare I say it, feature length. It's gonna be a road movie from Glasgow to London.
I've built tracks, a small crane and a car mount over easter specially for it. I might be PMing you soon for some advice!

excellent, and yeah we are always looking for people to help out, extras etc. and you being local! i'm also doing a shoot in the summer, i'm writing the script at the moment, it's about two guys who escape from a mental hospital, they have spent years watching spaghetti westerns and they actually believe they are characters from the films, they happen upon sabden (san sabden to them) were a wild west fun day is taking place. too much to go into now but i'm doing it to raise money for a war memorial in sabden by having a film premiere and selling tickets, the whole village is involved. send me a message and we could discuss some things. ps liked your trailer!

those stills look tight! If i can grab some stills from a PDW 350 we were using i´ll pass them on, whacking a 2/3 lens convertor makes a big difference.
