I reckon that these could be classed as 'films' of a sort... a mixture kind of, of 'stand up' and monologues... all done by me, but rarely seen in vision. Here, if yer all still reading (appreciated) I'll elaborate... I thoroughly enjoy having a walk with my two dogs, and I also enjoy humour too/ One day just out of sheer boredom I decided to use the camera on my mobile phone in order to video our walk... and then decided to add some jokes. I then uploaded it onto 'youtube', and thought: "Hang on... I could be onto something here!" (like Hannibal Smith, I reckoned a plan had come together and decided to inflict it onto the www). Having read up on the therapeutic effects of humour, and also on the benefits of exercise, I reckon that combining the two into a 'comedy ramble' might not be a bad thing... so I did a few of these! I've also been writing short stories based on biographical stuff, and done some 'observational stuff' too - so I decided to do some of those... A friend and I have also been doing a script called 'Borrow Us' which I have to admit has been inspired by such as 'Once Upon A Time In The Midlands', 'Rita, Sue & Bob Too' and 'Shameless' - but as for now, I'm doing 'solo' stuff when filming... but hopefully we'll get that sorted proper (he's getten all the gear and been doing filming for a few years). Anyhow - aye, the comedy rambles... here's a link: Click Here To ViewI'd very much like to know what you all think... I'd also be chuffed to bits if Shane would care to comment - and I can take criticism, so don't be scared to do a 'Tank Bullock' on me if ye reckon it's sh*te! Neil.

Watched the first comedy ramble. It's a strange little concept! haha. I do like the idea of seeing a pleasant walk with a soundtrack of jokes... but I myself am not one for jokes (which sounds mad). What I mean is that I'm not really one for traditionally structured jokes. Although the cannibals and the clown one made me grin!

Thanks or the comments Dave - no I am one for jokes and been collecting for years - I love 'em, the cornier the better. One reason I did this was at some point to apply it as a 'therapy' (I practice 'humour therapy' by the way - let me know if ever you want the sh*t boring out of ye and I'll elaborate on what that involves ), and as I say I like a walk. Someone on a forum said that it was okay, but the quality was 'too blocky'... "What the fr*g do you want" said I, "it's only done on a 'Nokia' phone - so it's hardly going to be George Lucas tackle is it?" For me, I'm more impressed with the 'idea' than the 'actualisation' - and if anyone else did one because they'd seen mine and decided to do likewise, I'd be chuffed to bits. Anyhow... my next project - "Cairnard Manning"... my Cairn Terrier Gina who I'm going to film just sat there, whilst I do my Bernard Manning impression and tell dog-related jokes. Watch this space! N.
