The Workshop
A comprehensive training in all aspects of acting on screen.
Working with a camera, participants will learn the importance of listening and reacting, shot sizes, the art of the close up, camera acting techniques, retakes, working with props, continuity, hitting your mark and set etiquette. The workings of different kinds of sets; low budget, short film, feature, soap, high budget television, multi camera and single camera shooting will also be explored.
Participants will shoot scenes using original film scripts and there will also be a session focusing on the all important audition and casting process.
The Team
Aaron Swartz - currently teaching Acting for Camera on the MA Acting for Screen at Central School of Speech and Drama and the Drama Centre - has appeared in Judge Dread, Entrapment, 51st State, The Fourth Protocol , Spooks , Body Guards, Don Not Disturb, to name a few. Directing credits include; "When will I be famous?" & "The Worlds Greatest fan" both sold to the BBC.

Steve North - Has worked extensively as an actor on film and television including The Day Britain Stopped, London’s Burning, Murphy’s Law, Casualty, Whistleblowers, Holby City, Midsomer Murders, East Enders, Is Harry on the Boat? The Football Factory, SW9. He has just directed a short film, 'Cregan' for The Film Council and will be directing his first feature next year.
