Hey yo people, been working on an idea for a short, like 10 mins, about 3 polish brothers who've just moved over to the uk after their dad opens up a Polish shop (Polski Sklep)...
Looking for actors to play the part of the brothers, would want guys aged between 16-25 from Manchester/north west area for a two or three day shoot in october. All travel expenses we'll cover and we'll probs chuck in a subway sandwich or two each aswell.
So yeah, if anyone's interested or knows someone that might be, please please let me know!
Cheers!

I'd love to do it, i'm a quarter polish myself, as in my Grandad (Dzidek) came from there. I have pleanty of family there and have been twice. Know a few words as well. Reckon my bro would be up for it too. Only problem is we live in cambridge, would we have to get to Manc for the shoot?

If you're definately interested Gadge that would be great, we're based in Withington, not too far from Wythenshawe, so shouldn't be bad for you as far as travelling is concerned.
Drop u your CV at half_pint_productions@hotmail.co.uk and we'll send you more information about the project.
The same goes for anybody else interested in working with us, send us your acting CV and we'll let you know about the next stage....and remember, free sandwiches!

There no other actors mooching about?
We're also on the lookout for a mature actor aged 45-65 to play a polish shopkeeper, and the boy's father in the film, if anyone is interested or knows somebody that might be, let me know yo!

Would love to get involved but live to far away and dont have the time to commute. Have you talked to any actual polish guys? In my neck of the woods we have polish people everywhere and I'm sure if you offered them some kind of payment and I'm not talking a lot you might get a genuine polish older guy for the dad role. I've met quite a few cool polish folk and it would give your film a real genuine feel if there was a character speaking some polish as well.

It's something i've thought about, gonna try and get actual actors first though.....there's a polish area of manchester i've thought about checking out.
There will be parts of the film that will be totally in polish though. I've got a polish girl to translate the script and she's gonna help the actors with their accents and pronounciation etc.
