Just found out from the editor that the film is running at (wait for it) nearly four hours! Jeesh, I knew we'd shot some stuff but crikey, there's enough for two films there. 'Kill Smell' is heading the title list for the second film. I haven't watched the first assembly yet (it arrives tomorrow) but either way, it looks like being my longest film to date. Will keep everyone posted on how the edit is going. I am chomping at the 'digital' bit until monday when I'm let loose on the footage, I am banging around the house like a caged squirell, and have developed a penchant for water biscuits and smoked cheese, need to get out!
It's good to see lot's of the cast dropping by the site, Tomo, Gadge and Keiren are becoming regulars, and it's great to hear from Roz (amung) a'nall. Say hi to Chantilly Crezzwool, Danielle and Jack for me Smell. By the way, I think I've let go of that flippin balloon!

At least this way you will have lots of footage to choose from. Still sounds good though however long it is Shane. Cheese and biscuits! Good choice! Play some Fifa let off some steam. Let us all know how the edit goes.

Shane! I hope your gonna get your ass to the cornerhouse in Manchester for a Premiere of This is England just like ya did for DMS. Get Paddy to come aswell seein as he couldnt make it last year, that is unless hes sippin cocktails round at Bradd Pitts house.
I simply cannot wait for 'this is england', it looks typical S.Meadows from the photo's and MP3 of rehearsals. Lookin forward to it so much.
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTHHHHH!!!!

Shane it could be eight hours long and I'd still watch it! Oh and smoked cheese, Austrian or Applewood?

Hey fellas, i too would love it if the premiere was at the conerhouse but whats the chance of us civvies getting in on it, how do premieres work, is it just cast and crew? Even if it is invite only manchester would be great as all them shandy drinking southern fairies get all the premieres. If you need a date for the premiere gadge ill wear me best wig.
A quick question to Dave also, don't know if you can tell me but how do cinemas go about showing films that arent just out, like classics and stuff. I know cetain cinemas like the conerhouse show all sorts of old and new but i think cinemas like that are few and far between, are the films shown just chosen by the cinemas in question or is it the big wigs and stuff? The reason i am asking is im gutted i didnt get to see dead means shoes at the cinema and i would love the chance to.

Well, last year i heard about the 'premiere' of dead mans shoes through word of mouth. I say premiere and it makes it sound like a glamarous red carpet affair but it was nothing like that. It was seven squids (or there abouts) to get a ticket to watch the film and take part in a Q&A with Shane and the cast afterwards, was a really good night. Shame Paddy couldnt come but it was great to hear Shane talk about the film aswell as past ones - he even signed my DVD's! Dont think he was too pleased about my frickin phone goin off as he was answering a question though!
No doubt if 'this is england' is showing at the cornerhouse we'll hear it hear first so we can get our hands on tickets before anyone else, and if so get ur ass down here.

We will be doing the same kind of tour round the country that we did with DMS. I would think the cornerhouse will be in the plans for next years special screenings, alongside places like the broadway in Nottingham, and the Waterhouse ( ?) in Bristol. It will be a first come first serve basis I think, But obviously, Everyone on this site will find out about the dates and places way ahead of the public etc, so You should all be able to get in. You never know we might put some tickets up as prizes.... Eyup Gadge! How yer diddly doing youth? Great to hear from yer M8, me and Lou are cool, we've just joined a health spa! I can be found in the aromatherapy temple most mornings, eating koyaniskatszu and drinking the blood of Mavis riley from a coned paper cup. Next years looking good for a bit of Tank B Gadge, so you'd better get yer hair growing for Hank!!!!!!! Hope all well your end, say 'eyup youth' to Haley, y'mam and dad etc and the Bullock will give you a buzz soon as I've finished learning about the 'secrets of the Fungle bunnies and the hexagonal curse of the blessed shart-weasles' at the temple.
