Me and the bruv are already whipping up a posse to head off to London to watch it. Im shocked, appalled and disgusted to say i never saw "the best film of the last five years" (c) (DMS) at the cinema....

I do hope this film doesnt portray all skinheads as racist thugs true skinheads started in the late 60's and were as big as mods were thy were the first white fans of reggae .I am a tradional skinhead there is still a big skinhead following i try vary hard to educate people about true skinheads that has been swept under the carpet after racist's took up the fashoun but not the true music and cultural roots i do hope this film shows that there was always two types of skinheads back then and even now

That's pretty much exactly what Shane is doing with this film! The soundtrack of the film was always going to include a lot of music from the Trojan Records label too.... and I can't see that that is going to change.

Is there any way that we, the good people of the SM forums, could possibly be invited to a test screening (if any are being held)..? Nottingham is only an hour from Mexborough and I regularly make the trip to see my mate (who helps run Confetti Studios for Craig Chettle) anyway. In exchange I'll give you a copy of my album for nowt when it's finished and that's a bargain..!
Keep your eye on the ball Shane - I've got a feeling that this could be a biggie.
Luv, Workshed.x
p.s. Any chance of using The Redskins on the soundtrack..? Preferably the first 12" version of 'Lean On Me' or 'Keep On Keepin' On'..? I say this because, as an ex-skinhead they were THE BAND who made you decide which kind of skin you were i.e.Good or Evil. Their gig at Frickley Colliery at the height of the Miner's Strike in '84 was a defining moment in my life.
