Thanks to Hyde's very helpful PM, I've just booked to see THIS IS ENGLAND on 31st October (just over a month to go and I cannot wait). I realise there's already a thread, but as there are a couple of screenings and for the sake of being easier for people to find, I thought it best to start a new thread.
Anyone that's booking for October 31st (and bearing in mind that the screening doesn’t commence until 9:15 in the PM) could meet up before. Being a Londoner, I know the area well and can say yhat the best venue for a meet would probably be Wetherspoons – it's fairly big and the prices aren’t too deer (for London – I bought two beers around the corner from work last week at the cost of £6.70!).
It would be great to catch up with the regular contributors on these forums – and I know that Hyde, Mark Sherbert and Miss Donk are planning a trip down. The more the merrier.

I'm all for it, my dad will be in attendance though I'm sure you wont mind, he's alright like.. he'll probably be more chattier then me! Also I'm gonna get a Travis Bickle du so I'm easily spotted. Been wanting that for a while now.. now I have a good enough reason

I think this has been mentioned before but, won't it be abit wierd.
Not that anyone is wierd, but just meeting......I just imagine us all pretending to blend in until we notice a familar face, then pluck up the courage to say something, like a bad blind date.
Maybe its just me....Anyway, see you there....white roses in your left lapel, everyone.

These things are kind of weire, at first - I had a school reunion last year. It was Middle School, actually and I hadn't seen some of the people in attendance for 16 years! Anyway, it started very cautiously but once people started talking, it was fine.
I'm not one to keep quite and will probably do most of the talking at first, hehehehe.

How do we go about getting these tickets? Someone, help me! Hyde sent me this link and it worked - just follow the lik of the bottom of that particular page - this enables you to qualify for priority booking as a Time Online reader: entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,24169-2357126,00.html (copy and paste this into a new browser instead of clicking on the hyperlink - there seems to be a problem with it)

I really really hope I can make it to at least one screening. I started uni today so it might not be too wise to miss a lecture this soon. But fuck it I will. I'm up for the pub meet up first, it'll be awesome.

Thanks to Hyde! I'm gonna buy his spare off of him as I am having incredible amounts of grief replacing my lost debit card (today was my fourth time phoning the card loss centre, and finally they told me my address isn't updated on their system or something so I have to go into a branch and sort it all out). I'm looking forward to meeting y'all.
Oh, and seeing that film, what's it called again?
