This is possibly me coming to my own conclusions but at the end of this months Buzz section of Total Film in a small box says "Next Month.... Sin City 2, jokes, Edward Norton, swearing, Angelina Jolie, skinheads, Colin Farrell...and some news.
Some column inches for TIE??

Could well be? I'm a HOTDOG person and I keep waiting to see some coverage of TIE, they did a decent write up on Dead Mans Shoes if I remember right.

I also remember HOTDOG doing a decent four page article on OUATITM. I think that coincided with the DVD release though. We've got a long way to go for that.

Bizzarely. I used to subscribe to HOTDOG, for about 2 years when I was 18/19 or there abouts. I cancelled my subscription as I never got round to reading them all.
And as if by magic, they've been sending me copies free for the past year or so!! No idea why, no idea where they are coming from all I know is im not paying for them. Maybe this is where there going wrong?!
Its a shame its folded, was a readable bit of paper.

Plus I've had times where the subscriptions never arrive and then 2 come at once etc. They've changed publishers at least 5 times. Is it definitely finished then? I wondered why my next issue hasn't turned up and why the last issue doesn't have a 'next month' part. Shame best film mag imo. Empire and all the other guff is poor.

Still think Total Film is the best one out there. I like it cos of the humour. It has a kind of Alan Partridge/Jeremy Clarkson feel to it. Plus they get some great access on film sets etc

I dont mind Total Film, but Hotdog was a great magazine, after 10 years of buying Empire I finally gave up at the start of this year. I've said it before but Kim Newman is the only critic in Emptire now who's opinion I respect and he get about 6 colum inches a month, all the other writers seem never to have seen a film before Back To The Future, oh and are they still Kissing George Lucas's and Spielberg's arse every week? ;D Anyone remember the short lived NEON magazine, god I used to love that mag, still have every issue.

Did anyone ever read MOVIE INSIDER? It only lasted a few months in 2003-2004, I guess, but it was a good read - in my opinion, moreso than Empire or Total Film have been in recent times. I buy Empire every month and very rarely read it, unless I happen to take a train journey on the day I buy it.
