Not only is Shane shortlisted as Best Director of a British Independent Film but This Is England has been nominated for the prestigious Best British Independent Film...alongside The Queen, The Wind That Shakes the Barley, Red Road and The Last King of Scotland.

Hopefully we'll see him doing a victory dance at the end of the night......
at least that fella from Cold Feet is routing for him.

Excellent news!!
I've just put it on the front page, but as of yet, I'm not sure which award Shane won. Was it the Best British Independent Film Award, or is it possibly the Best Director of a British Independent Film award (the only reason I thought it might be, is that you mention Shane specifically won it).
Well, we'll have to wait and see! Exciting times!
