I was just wondering whether our collective talents could help create some "This Is England" buzz or not. What do you all reckon? Any ideas? Doesn't have to be big scale stuff.... perhaps you can somehow influence local opinion in student magazines... local press... sandwich boards Having said that, maybe we can make some little ripples nationally. I know that Edith Bowman on radio one has been mentioned a couple of times on here. How hard can it be to get her bigging up This Is England a bit more? Ideas? Another pointless idea I thought of, was that loads of us could email in to the Mark Kermode film review show on the week he reviews This Is England. The show is live, and they receive and read out emails throughout it. If a few of us could email into the show live, it might get a mention. Might be pointless, but I think if nothing else, it will be interesting for other listeners to hear that there is a hardcore Shane fanbase! ;D

Dave, I wrote a short review of it for one site (not there any more ). Never done it before, but it only took about an hour (hardest bit is editing down to fit the word limit) and quite enjoyed doing it, so would recommend others on site do likewise-there are plenty of places on the net where this can be done (noticed Companero wrote one on the IMBD site). Also, does Shane have any flyers/small posters or other publicity material that can be put on site for download? Id be happy to stick one up on my notice board at work (regularly seen by students and others).

I do the Film Reviews for my university's newspaper, So I will make sure to do one for This is England. How about Myspace chains/IMDB overload/phone in radio shows/A mass signed letter/email to Channel 4 saying that they should do a tribute night to Shane for the new film coming out?/everyone on the site write into Total Film, Empire etc letters page about TIE!
Count me in for anything.....
