what a great night. was a treat to meet all of you from the site and the film. and, if possible, even more of a treat to see TIE for the first time- absolutely wonderful film. Only problem is that after watching every other meadows film for the first time i've then been able to watch them repeatedly for weeks on end... need to do the same with TIE. mrah...
mick, i remember that you were saying that the school yard bully at the start was in romeo... having thought about it with a sober head, i'd say you were spot on! talk about delayed reaction.
Gadge, in scotland denying a man beer is like denying a thirsty man water... so your welcome to underage drink anytime up here!
again, good to meet you all and ta for the photos neil- what a trooper you were!

What a tremendous evening !! Really enjoyed meeting you all in Wetherspoons before the film and having a few drinks again after. Big thanks to the cast & crew present who were all extremely friendly and very accommodating with photo's and autographs. Had a ball chatting to Gadge's uncle (66 years old and still headbanging to Iron Maiden !), meeting the rest of Gadge's family, finding out that Jo used to live in Burnley and managed to escape unscathed ( )briefly talking Soul music with Jill, meeting Stephen Graham who seemed to have time for absolutely everyone in Glasgow and sharing a drink or three late on with Gadge & Mum & Auntie, Tony, Neil (Salv), Darran and Stu (Anonlytwin). Moments that will stay with me for a long, long time included listening to the local Skin who sat in front of us, tell how someone had congratulated him for coming in costume !! ;D (Stu managed to explain the mix-up to him but it tickled us no end), and Gadge's uncle asking me if I was one of them out of Dead Man's Kids !! absolutely superb ;D ;D Neil - top photos fella, what happened to you & Darran did you get home OK ? Oh! and the film is superb !

It was great to meet up with all you lovely folks and thanks to Jo and the rest of the cast for turning out and making it an even more special occasion. Enjoyed the workshop, though it was a little odd everybody talking about Shane in his absence (get well soon chap). Sorry, I couldn't hang around afterwards and say my goodbyes properly. The three people with me who hadn't seen TIE before thought it was terrific and me and my girl agreed that it was even better second time around. Just endured a horrible drive back-p*ssing it down most of the way and topped off by two things that I find most irritating in the entire universe-junction 11-8 M6 and my local shop-keeper holding up a Scottish fiver and sayin' 'oh, not sure about this, we get a lot of fakes'-ARGHHH!!! Definitely not going to let either spoil the memory of a splendid trip! Look forward to meeting you all again before too much longer

Hahaha Gadge, he was indeed a top bloke, never did I think I'd be having a chat with a 66 year old about Doom, Final Fantasy and the NES! Oh and his Viagra joke was bloody hilarious!
My wedding is in July, get him to mark it in his diary.....
