I'm doing the 6:25 showing. Seems it might have been better to do the late one as theres a cast intro to that. Ah well. At least I'm going to watch it at last.

Im sure Jo Hartley said they were gonna be there for both showings watching the early one and doing the intro/Q&A for the late but not watching. Ive got tickets for both so might pop back in for Q&A

right fucking internet and phone was down all day yesterday so i still have no ticket but im gonna try and get one after 12 today for the last showing. i have wangled it so i can leave work at 4 instead of 6 so if i pull my finger out and get on the train i may be able to get there for 6 or something but who knows. do you think ill be able to get 2 tickets so late? god im so slack.
if i make it ill wait in the cornerhouse bar if you're in the cinema the beers ahoy.

In case anyone has a problem getting into Manchester tonight, I watched TIE at the Didsbury's Cineworld. Pretty good cinema, imo.

Pay your hard earned cash and watch it.
My friends saw it on a pirate DVD and we agreed, the least we could do is go and pay to see it again coz it's a masterpiece.

A true event that. What a film. What a fine performance from young Tommo and Stephen Graham, in fact all of the cast too, all good. A superb film. Shane Meadows really is a true genius. I look forward to his films immensely! He's pulled it out the bag again with TIE as I expected. Great, great film and quite an emotional ending too. Met a couple of board members tonight all good. Briefly saw Stephen Graham, Gadge and even Herbie from DMS but how can you go over and talk to them without looking like a bit of a c**t? And of course did chat with Jo Hartley for a bit aswell and even posed for a picture for her. ;D She really is nice as pie. Proper friendly lass.  the only downside was there was no boddies on. So had to have several guinesses too many. Good night.  |
