Anyone else spot Woody's accent?
Both me and my mate are from Bolton and as soon as Woody is introduced in the film and starts speaking, that bit where him and the lads meet Shaun for the first time in the subway, we both looked round to each other and laughed in recognition
I think most of the actors use their own accents (as seems to be the case in all Meadows' films), and most seem to be Nottingham or nearby but Woody's really did stand out and seem to fuel most of the comedy in those early scenes
Checked out his bio and sure enough he grew up in Chorley just down the road from where Im from
"Bloodeee ell maaate"

I think its great how they all kept their accents, keeps it real, makes it so they can act properly, instead of worry about their accents all the time. Also people have said it's odd.. i really don't think it is, theres no reason why woody couldn't have like moved to "Nottingham-on-sea" when i was at school there were a lot of people that had different accents.
