Nothing at all to do with counterfeit DVD's. There is a very big cover community on the net. I can't really see how it is illegal. The covers don't get sold and the artwork is available on the net. These are what got me into using photoshop. Which in turn helped me get a new job and a career change.

Not saying you are at all just thought the question needed asking. Legal stuff I meant using the logos/details you see on the back at the bottom. I'm not knockng the artwork it's quite good, just curious really that you do it as dvd sleeves and not just 'art' that was all.

You can download them from the major movie studios and a website called brands of the world. There is probably no difference between using them and using 'oi!' in your sig. It is probably copyrighted just the same.

Fair do's mate. It's actually quite good really I like the style of the mock up case how you've done it. I'd like to see more stuff, do you have to sign up to see the other covers?

I assume most people that download these covers do so to use with illegally downloaded films. I am not suggesting you have any involvement in this but i'm sure its not something anyone involved in TIE would like to see especially when similar covers are being used on pirate copies that appear on ebay.

Just done a search on ebay and there wasnt one single copy on there. The majority of covers thate are remade are for movies already out on DVD. A lot of the studio covers are total crap so people like to make new ones. Some people do make covers for films out in the cinema mainly because there is a lot of artwork available. There are also quite a lot of DVDs released in those crappy cardboard snapper cases that dont fit properly on the shelf.

Search completed listings for examples. There are 3 or 4 of these type of covers being used.
