Liv – you’ll probably need to be represented by an agent – most filmmakers do not accept unsolicited scripts.

You can't blame someone for trying, Quixote...
Trouble is, filmmakers/production companies have to cover themselves. There have been countlees lawsuits that have arisen after the release of successful films (FULL MONTY being one that has stuck in my mind, for some reason), where a couple of writers have come out of the woodwork and insisted that a film has plagiarised their ideas.
When scripts are handled by literary agents, things are (supposedly) done above board and should result in neither the writer, nor filmmaker/production company getting caught up in the above type of foul play.

to liv though, if you've got a great script make it yourself, sadly i have tremendously little creative talent and i'm constantly impressed by some of the tremendously creative people making there own films on this sight, the technology exists today to make your own broadcast quality films you might be able to get it in to a small festival oor at least put it on the net if it is really that good it might open doors for you speak to some of the members on this sight who post about filmaking maybe they can give advise or may even want to get involved i guess what i'm saying is shane didn't wait to meet ken loach before making films he just did it, post a link to your film here when your done and i'm sure i'll be just as impressed by your creativity as i am by that of other members of this sight (you know who you are) (phew being that positive was exhausting). now can anyone help me with that pony
