I became interested in Shane's work because I live in Nottingham and used to live in Sneinton (Trent Rd between the Earl Manvers and The Jester). Now I am gentry and live in Mapperley Park. Dead Man's Shoes is a work of genius and if 'This Is England' is half as good rest assured I'll be soiling my trousers on account of it. I'll be getting down the cinema to see it just as soon as Leeds are safely tucked up in the Championship again and I can get a babysitter brave enough to put the boys to bed on their own.
