Hiya, i'm watching Dead Man's Shoes for the first time, it's the first film by Shane Meadows i've seen. I'm really blown away, he seems absolutely phenomenal.
Is there any mailing list I can join?

Welcome you! There isn't any mailing list that I know of.... who needs that when you can keep your eyes on this lovely site! I also run a MySpace page www.myspace.com/shanemeadowsI do occasionally write updates on the blog on there and if you sign up to that you are informed via email when I write anything new. I wouldn't trust it though... not as up to date as this site! ;D

Welcome aboard! I started with DMS, too -- made me an instant fan -- and I hope you get to see more of Shane's work soon.

There was 3 of his short films directly after DMS..I only watched 1 and a half of them. One of them was Macca's Men, and the other one was similarly bizarre so I didn't watch the rest, didn't suit my mood at the time

It wasn't "The Man With No Name," was it? I thought that one was a hoot...

I don't think so, it was about film techniques and a farmer being rude to his apprentice..?

Oh, yeah -- "Tank's Top Tips," with Tank Bullock (played by Shane) and his farmhand, Shag. (I thought those bits were absolutely nuts.)

Photos of this and photos of that! ...and he doesn't tell me. Facebook is dirty, so I don't get involved with that. I have some Somers Town photos to put up, but still awaiting clearance from Tomboy Films. The dirty world of Facebook doesn't worry about such niceties.

Well I am sorry Dave! But I only JUST realised about 2 mins before i had to go to work, and just had time to post what i said above, this morning!
It's only two phone photos, one of tomo and one of shane in some odd blue wig. Turns out they're taken by the guy was the Key Grip for somers town. I've asked him to join the forum to discuss his experiences with us!
