We are working night and day at the mo to get Somers Town ready for next Saturday in Berlin. I am up and down the M1 like a bi-polar hippo, as we have an Audio Mix in Nottingham and all visual post production in London.
Yesterday, I had to come back from london by Unicycle as nearly every form of transport seemed to have curled up and died leaving me and 3 million other rats fighting each other bare knuckle for a seat on some form of transport to evacuate the capital.
The Film has to be delivered to the Festival on Tuesday morning, so I have just bought some ProPlus from the student next door and am gonna go straight through baby, to make sure we hit the deadline. It will i'm sure, as always, be alrayt on the nayt!

Yeah.. good luck with that! No chance of a trailer I presume... hahaha The Berlin site doesn't seem to have any promo stuff for the film at all. I currently have a shady contact who may come up trumps with a few special items soon.

Best of luck with it!
I'm sure you'll be fine, if you need any red bull or proplus, we'll hold a whip round on the forum!

Nice find Lee. I was looking at that page the other day and gave up when it appeared to contain no info at all. A cast list too! Perhaps I should get on with starting a Somers Town page now.

Hi Shane, I was very fortunate to see the world premiere of Somers Town at the Berlinale today. The long-awaited highlight of the festival for me: beautifully warm, human and humourous film as you'd expect from Britain's greatest working director (excepting Michael Winner of course).
A great shame I wasn't able to shake your hand and tell you this - congratulations on another winning film.

Welcome Will... you lucky swine! I wonder if the reception the film receives in Berlin (and any other festivals it may appear at) will have any impact on a possible theatrical release for the film? Any buzz from festivals can't hurt can it! It would seem odd that the film plays at a film festival and then only airs on TV.

Any buzz from festivals can't hurt can it! It would seem odd that the film plays at a film festival and then only airs on TV. This was mentioned. Shane said that this was one of the reasons for showing it at the Berlinale: see what kind of buzz it generates from distributors. Certainly the film was very well-received. Standing room only for some of the audience!
