Well it hasn't been officially announced as yet but there is a possibility that Somers Town could be heading off to the Tribeca Film festival in New York at the end of April. I don't know what section or any dates yet, but the word back from Merica is that it has gone down very well and they have been checking me diary etc, so the signs are very good for the third Tribeca in a row after DMS and TIE both screened there.
The success of Somers Town to date has been pretty amazing. It continues to get invited to festivals the world over and we are fielding offers from most major territories including a possible Small cinematic release in the UK, all of which exceed our initial expectations of trying to simply get it screened on TV.
For a film that is Black and White, 68 minutes long and with polish dialogue scattered throughout, to get this kind of attention is pretty rare to say the least. Tomo, Pack your bags, get your de-ginge hair dye out and buy some stick-on sideburns, cuz me and thee are going on holiday baby!

Nice work. Doesn't De Niro have something to do with Tribeca?
I can't wait to see this.

it just shows it's not the money which is thrown in to a film it's just the talent of the people making it that matters.

Congratulations Shane,
Do you have any UK festival plans? Edinburgh/London maybe?
Again, I completely agree with the above comments - I can't wait to see it!

I'm not sure at the mo, but It would be nice to make Edinburgh. I'm pretty sure the film will have been 'out' by the time London rolls around so that is probably a non starter. I'll look into other possibilities and get back to thee...

PS. Sorry Sherbert, I forgot to say -
Yes, De Niro is one of the organisers of the festival. He set it up after the 911 disaster with some other high profile dudes to promote the Tribeca Area (which is very close to Ground Zero).
It is defo one of my favorite festivals and the Sandwiches are massive out there!
