Aye, so I'm writing this feature called the Wall Department which is about the British efforts to recover a defector after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Backstabbing ensues and all that but, I was wondering about expanding on the protagonist's backstory and wondering whether to write some short scripts about it.
Mainly just to fill gaps but the man's backstory (well, his life in the service) is so sporadic it'd just be little snippets. It's mainly because I really don't want to rush the feature but, I fancy getting something tangable as something of a teaser to the main course.
Plus I'm skint. And bored. So, a curious predicament. The feature's going to take a while to write as I did a first draft which will now bear little resemblance to the final thing. And I think it's important I get the feature right, despite me also having one eye on another project.
Any suggestions? Write them anyway and hand them out to any takers? Use them as teasers for the main feature?
