It was a great evening at the BFI, we were very fortunate to get tickets.
The journey down after the M1 was a bind, can't believe how busy the Edgeware Rd was for a sunday! We eventually got to the Southbank, only to miss our exit, not being able to make a u-turn we ended up goodness knows where. Almost an hour later we managed to park-up on the embankment with the Peugeot almost expiring with heat exhaustion. At least we had an hour to walk along the Thames and take in the sights.
First port of call was the bar where we met forum members RydCook and chromebaby and their partners, very nice to meet you all.
"Somers Town" is a beautiful film, being shot in B & W only enhances the visual experience. The soundtrack, by Gavin Clark & Ted Barnes, wrenches at the emotions, it being an essential part of the film. It's an absolute must for everyone to get to see the film, no-one will be disappointed.
To see Gavin, Ted (Clayhill) and their keyboard/cellist (who's name I've yet to find out) perform the soundtrack was for me an especially emotive experience. I also met the third member of "Clayhill" - Ali Friend and they were kind enough to sign my CD covers.
Afterwards we met Shane, the cast members and also forum member pointblank (Rob, tomo's dad), a special thanks to you for letting us gatecrash the 'Green Room' to take photos.
Paul & Jackie.

Hey, I had an awesome time at the screening on sunday night. Was nice to meet you Chromebaby and Thribb! And you too Rob, glad i bumped into you at the end in the cinema! After that, me and my girlfriend mel headed to the bar.. where we got chucked out! Then we had to shoot off to catch out 12 o clock train. So sorry we couldn't stick around afterwards mate!
Looking forward to seeing the video they made of the Q&A hearing how terribly i asked my question! Glad i asked one though.
