Seeing the convenience store at the beginning of the film brought back some memories for me.
Does the Happy Shopper brand still exist?
I always remember buying Happy Shopper cola on the way to school it was flipping toxic but cost about 19p for 2 litres.

Ha ha... I've not seen it for years. I think they tried to make their packaging a bit more classy at one point.... which wouldn't be hard really when the starting point is solid orange!
I can recall when the Happy Shopper products first started appearing in local newsagents... everyone was awestruck by the brazen orangeness of it all.
Happy Shopper was also a god send for kids like myself at the time. It meant you could vary your Oxfam based abuse to sometimes incorporate Happy Shopper instead.
"Where'd you get those trainers? Oxfam?! hahaha"
could become;
"What make are those trainers? Happy Shopper?! hahaha"

We used to have one of those when we first moved to Washington. I always associated them with poor biscuits.

Oh yes I forgot about the biscuits! Happy Shopper custard creams and other "cream" varieties.
You could get 2 litres of cola and a pack of bourbon creams for less than 50p. All the kids would head to the shop at lunch time. Lessons after lunch would basically resort to 30 kids all belching and whilst having sugar rushes.

I wanted to call mine and Paddy's Band 'Happy Shoppers' but got overuled cuz of the 'Happy Mondays' link and also it was wank! Mind saying that, I would prefer anything to 'She Talk to Angels'.  |

Mind saying that, I would prefer anything to 'She Talk to Angels'. That's not even gramatically correct. DISGRACEFUL! God, memory of those custard creams are coming back. They all used the same horrible 'orange' flavoured cream for them. Even the bourbons. |

I've not much to say about Happy Shopper other than I remember it. But... BRAND POWER... what the hell is this by the way?! I;ve never understood it. The stuff it advertises.. why can't they just make their own adverts? Some of them even have. What exactly is the point of BRAND POWER?! |

Is this genuine!? Looks counterfeit to me! hahaha I always remember two smiling heads, a boy and a girl.... and the font didn't look like that. I'm telling the fuzz! Maybe it was the first generation Happy Shopper design? EDIT: Just found this with 'hilarious' graffitti  That's the font I know and love... still only the one head though, but at least it doesn't look like it was drawn by an imbecile. ;D (Just noticed you linked to this logo in your thread already Morell) ...and what about this in the state of San Andreas?  |
