As I've mentioned in before, the very first thing I ever made was a bad horror/thriller called Night-Bird. It was subsequently buried, but I forgot how much I put everyone through... Basically, all the raw footage was destroyed, and all that exists now is on the internet. I found this linked into some of my vids on YouTube - it's a couple of outtakes from the film. These were posted by Dave Laurence (I think), the guy who takes the slap to the face. As you can see, he got pretty roughed up during the shoot, and I feel bad now, looking back, that he went through so much for such a crap movie! Ha ha. Take a look. EDIT: The plastic bag over his face at the start is meant to be pulled tight, suffocating him, leaving him kicking and gasping for breath.... uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FbNrTab0lQ4

His face welted up and he couldn't see outta one eye for a few hours ha ha! Good thing though, he saw the funny side, well, eventually.
No if only I can track down the blooper from Icharus where we accidently whacked a guy in the eye with a boom mic... That was seriously funny.

bloody hell! no need at all to slap him that hard, a nice sound effect would have done all the work! this brought to mind an an outtake from one of the MA films at uni, if they'd of just known their craft a little better and shot on really long lenses they could have got the exact same shot without nearly killing an actor, infact it would have looked better, the actor nearly gave his life for a shit short film www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=5731406900&ref=share

Given the chance, I'd go for the proper slap as well. Why bother asking someone to delve into their acting repetoir when there's a more direct, accurate way to do it? And then got for another 15 takes.

The funniest thing about it was that it was meant to be faked. The distance between the two guys was just a foot or so - it was a tiny bathroom - and of course, we never expected THAT sort of slap. It was the first take, which essentially ended up being the only slap...

Here's an outtake from one of my short films "Distressed" the outtakes are better than the film! Anyway, this guy is my friend. Terrible actor. But so bad it's funny sort of thing. Here he is trying to say "Do you think we should listen to him AND turn back?" video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3951351559139115696

He looks like some sort of Jeremy Irons for hire.

That is great. Yeah, he's not exactly oozing charisma as an actor, but actually very likeable for it. Great stuff. Ha ha.

Took him about 10 minutes to get that line right... he didnt even say it all in the end. We were waiting in the freezing cold. Heres the actual film in its entirety... most of you will have seen it before. terrible script = terrible film and all. But it has some nice shots in it. If nothing else! ha ha. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nkByaQW6JSs - Just watched again... oh man its bad.

Learnt a lot from it though mate! I smiled the whole way through! Obviously, nobody was taking it too seriously, so it doesn't really matter that it wasn't Shakespeare! That bad actor dude is brilliant. Who's his agent
