Blimey! Real shock at the start there. As others have said, fantastically shot and directed... wow. Left me speechless. The aftermath is good, nice twist. I felt the camera should have been closer to the baby and the mother shots. As well as the baby and the father shots. They just felt a little far away. Would have been more affecting if they filled the frame together. Surely they'd be closer now after the horrible shock of it? Didin't like the last shot near the road either. Otherwise... fantastic stuff. I'd like to see the whole 20 page script made into a film! Shows a good film that does. Nice one! ;D

In fairness after watching the shortlisted 5 films the Virgin media judges picked this week I personally think that Stolen Moments is possibly better than 3 of the 5 finalist films.
It kinda pissed me off when i saw what was picked to be honest. I had a film in this competition but i'm man enough to say that yours was better than mine and there were plenty of others better than my entry and the final 5 shortlisted.
I'm just kinda wondering why some of the shite that wins the competitions does. Not dissing your film at all thought it was brilliant and should have realistically made the top 5 along with some of the others i saw.

Cheers chaps, There's 10 finalists altogether Daz. My fav so far is the 3d Alien one, I thought it was very deep with a powerful message and well executed, my only gripe with it is that the brief was 2.30 sec per film and this one is 2.51 The rules state that no film should be over 2 1/2 mins long. If I had an extra 21 secs I could have put a bit more character related back story I didn't expect to get anywhere really with this one... MY NEXT FILM HOWEVER....

It's not what you know, etc.

Um......................I stand corrected I'm not sure what email Virgin Media sent me this week, but it said it was ther five films shortlisted. I've just checked the site and the 5 films I watched were not any of the 12 on the shortlist so my cock up somewhere.
I will however now watch the shortlist and hopefully there will be something good there to see.

It was very well done, and realistic, it does leave you wondering what happens after and how the baby was taken/saved, and to me thats the beauty of it because like all good films, it makes you think.
Well done mate and keep up the good work, youll go far.

Cheers for the nice comments Paul. My short film asperations will have to be put on hold though until I can generate some sort of cash to make my next one which will be a pulp fiction meets death wish in merseyside; following 3 different stories of anti social behavior. It's going to be a blast, if I could raise the funds... I'm sure we are all in the same boat! ;D
