I've just heard from Warp films that Paddy's 'Dog Altogether' it will getting a UK theatrical release combined with 'Somerstown' in selected cinemas (the ones that are on the digital film network). Somerstown is going out in about 60 screens nationwide and Dog will be on quite few of those. This requires a BBFC rating for Dog and it got a 15 certificate.

Interesting.... that's what we were hoping for.... however, Dog Altogether will bump up the certificate of the screening to 15 instead of 12A. We are on the digital screen network here in Bristol, so hopefully we will get Dog Altogether too.

That is interesting. Wonder where that leaves the overall rating. I know that the Somerstown trailer is a PG so it's kind of already been bumped up once. Shouldn't be as big a deal as the great 'rating of This is England debacle' of 07.

This has probably been mentioned somewhere.... but do the colour bits in the trailer mean that the film was shot in colour and then changed to black and white in post production?
What would be the reason for this using this method. I am guessing it is cheaper?

THIS WAS MY IDEA!!!!!! ;D Yeah, apparently black and white film is more expensive.... Also, I remember at the Q&A Shane spoke about it being black and white. And that the decision was made because of the amount of colours about in london (cars, florescent jackets and all that jazz) Shane said making it black and white gave more attention to the main characters on the screen. Less distractions if you get me. I may be wrong, sounds like to me that they made the decision in the edit. Entirely possible it was shot on black and white film i guess...

If so, it would be handy for them to keep me informed of when Shane is making appearances on TV and radio, etc.
