Hey guys. Well, I've not said too much about this, but finally, here's the details... I'm launching a real lo-fi film festival up here in Glasgow next month, and have just got confirmation of the venue. It's happening at Offshore, a really cool coffee shop with an art gallery in the basement. For three days in September, we're taking the place over with some exceptionally cool movies from all over the world. The line up is not yet closed, so you can still enter your movies, but you'll need to be quick because the final day is August 10th. We have films from all over the world - USA, Japan, Australia, Belgium, Poland, Canada, and of course, lots from right here in the UK. It's a a festival aimed at filmmakers with little money but big ideas, and some of the films I've seen will knock your socks off. Offshore is smack bang in the West End, Glasgow's very cool arts and culture district, and the coffee there is amazing. All the films screened are going on to my sales agent and his reps in the USA, so hopefully it'll open a few doors for other talented filmmakers to get their movies to market. He's also a producer, and is always looking for new directors and screenwriters too, so I think a lot of people will benefit from that as well. So yeah, anyone who wants to send a movie, go for it. The details are on the website - bootlegfilmfestival.co.uk and of course, you can just come up for the weekend and network with some great talents from New York, LA, Melbourne, Toronto, Krakow, Tokyo and also, right here! Cheers guys - Tom.

You can most defo have a trailer buddy. I aim to get a trailer out soon after filming finishes then my editor is concentrating on editing two versions the full 25 minute and a 10 minuite version for festivals. I'm crap at editing anything more than a trailer ;D

Well, it looks like I'll be having a preview night on the Wednesday night (10th), before the main competition starts on the Thursday. If I can get enough trailers of other films not screening at the festival, I'll run those. Gonna show Icharus Broken on the Wednesday eve as well, so it's gonna be cool. Send anything you have along to me via the postal address on the website. It'd be great to showcase what people are working on before the fest starts. Cheers - Tom.

All set up. Films are listed, including Abbeyhill... Nepotism? Nah. I think it's good enough. And there are some great films screening next week, so anybody near Glasgow, you know where to find me...
