London 20th December - more when I know it
Later - it's not my news to release, so I'd better not, but I guarantee most forum members will want to be there

I think you're referring to the charity gig at the Union Chapel in Islington.
It's mentioned on Ted Barnes's MySpace.
Lady Thribb and I are hoping to attend. ;D

Nah - the charity gig (Arctic Circle) is earlier in the month - the 5th That's a bonus concert, and seems to be a "co-operative" format. I don't imagine that there will be much solo Ted, if that's what you are looking for Also - at the same venue - UNKLE are playing on the 18th "With guests Gavin Clark, Lisa Linley Jones, Joel Cadbury and James Lavelle" www.unionchapel.org.uk/whatson/showevent.php/00670.html

Hi Neil
I'm not sure how the Union Chapel got the information about Shane filming this personally but it was definitely not from me. If anyone is intending to buy tickets hoping to see Shane in action please don't! We loosely talked about getting a couple of cameras in for the show but even that was not confirmed. From what I can fathom it's wishful thinking on the part of the promoter, huge apologies for any misunderstanding. Gav

There may be some fire in the smoke Gav. It would be a great end to our film mate!

Thanks mate, I might have over reacted with my last post but I didn't want Shane to feel any pressure because he's got so much on. It's a tremendous honour for me to be doing this, without Shane I'd still be working at the biscuit factory probably and I see it as a sort of celebration of the last 10 years. It's a sort of ' greatest hits ' ( without the hits ). Anyway it means a lot to me and I didn't want anyone to feel short changed.
Shane if you can make it that'd be fantastic I'd love to finish off the film mate, I'll get the vesta curries in and we can make a night of it!
ps. thanks Dave and everyone else for all the support
Gav

Looking forward to this. Looks like a nice venue and they seem good sorts with what else they're up to as well. Well pleased for you, Gav. May it be a very enjoyable night.

I believe Nick Hemmings of "The Leisure Society" will be there. ;D
Nick was a member of "She Talks To Angels" with Shane Meadows, Paddy Considine and Richard Eaton.
Paddy and Richard are, together with Chris Baldwin and Justin Chambers, "Riding The Low".

Be good to finally meet you Come and say hello I will be mostly wearing an orange fake fur cowboy hat, like in the profile pic. There may be some fire in the smoke Gav. It would be a great end to our film mate! Go for it Be nuts not to archive this, really Shane. I've invited a doc filmmaker along whom you've met (don't want to name him on here really) but he'd be off duty I guess. But if you're not archiving it I hope some f*cker is! I'll try my best to make this gig, sounds excellent! And not just cos Shane may be filming. That's a bonus really, Gav your music is excellent! Oh come on, you know you want to ryd22. You're one of the forum big boys! ps. thanks Dave and everyone else for all the support Gav This can't be the very same Gavin-"Um....don't do forums"-Clark can it? ;D Really looking forward to the gig, I'm bringing my fiance for his surprise Christmas present (he proabably thinks I'm organising a surprise caving trip in North Yorkshire with the lads for him, ha ha!) Also really looking forward to seeing Ted Barnes and Ali Friend (from Clayhill), Nick Hemming (as Thribb said, Leisure Society), Tim Pearce on drums from Ted’s solo band and Sarah Willson on cello as well. It sounds like a dynamite line up to me and good on everyone for getting it together so close to Crimbo. I've worked my butt off all year so this is my well-earned reward!
