Hi, I'm Alex. I discovered Shane several years ago following the release of A Room For Romeo Brass and he has since become my favourite director. TwentyFourSeven is also in my top films of all time.
His style of building his characters so that the audience can empathise with them is one which I love. Without strong central characters, a film of any genre can never work in my opinion.
Being from Nottingham myself as well makes me feel even more of a connection with Shane and his films.
I have never met him and was furious when I was unable to attend his DVD signing in Nottingham recently.
So that's me in a Shane Meadows-centric nutshell! I'm very approachable so anyone with anything to say just message me.
Alex
