Does this mean there's something wrong with me?

I find it actually rather hard to talk about how I feel about Dead Man's Shoes. But if I'm going to do it anywhere, it might as well be here. And sorry, but I'm going to have to copy this over on the Paddy Considine board as well (something I won't do often), because I don't know if the same cronies lurk both boards, and it's meant to be read by members of both, I guess. And I can't do it on IMDB. Something about that place is a little soul destroying.
For the last 15 years or so, I've considered the idea of picking a single favourite in anything practically impossible. Easy to do as a kid, not so easy to do as an adult. Unneccessary to do as an adult, even.
I've seen many awesome movies in my life, no doubt! And love them too, I do. But there's something highly personal about revenge movies, and this one in particular did something to me that I no other movie has done. It's not really something I can put my finger on, or even explain adequately in words, but I found myself inviting my friends over one by one for a movie evening. Give them food, get them all cozy, and show them Dead Man's Shoes. To watch as it did to them what it did to me the first time I saw it. And even after all the times I've seen this movies, I still shake all over in certain places. Really, really weird. No other movie does that to me.
And then in my one silly job (I have 2), working in a DVD rental store, there's this wall where staff members put up their recommended movies. And I make sure it's always up there, so the thing gets some heavy traffic here ;D. Plus, people tend to rely quite a bit on the staff recommended list, and I'm contantly recommending/talking about movies.
And then I realised. Shit. This is probably my favourite movie of all time. Wait, not probably. Has to be. (And suddenly, I'm 12 years old ;D).
I think...in a couple of hours, I can add to this and do a better job of explaining why I am so consistenly gutted by this movie, but the short answer is "it's everything". As a music nerd, the first thing I recognised was the music. And I was already thinking, hell...those people know what they're doing. And then....the acting. The mood. The growing intensity (and I attract, and am attracted to intense things). The everything.
Bullseye.
