Arhh 86 remember it was the first world cup football sticker album i bought, probably worth a couple of quid now too!
Sounds an interesting sequel, will be interesting to see what has happened to everyone since, will keep a look out for this when it arrives on tele, if it doesent get a cinema run before.

I'm looking forward to this. I had to check the year that the film was set in and it is 1983, so this is just three years forward. Mind you, at the age of the characters, three years is a long time.
Yes, it is Kwik Save I think.

I hope the series includes the fact that Kinder Eggs became a total washout in 1986 because about 80% of the time you ended up with the Mexico '86 World Cup mascot inside! Rubbish! HA! Yeah I do remember that. Although I got into a competition with my sister to see who could get the most and if, on the rare occasion, we got a different toy... It was a disaster! I remember lining them up on the mantle piece. I had about 20! Bloody things.

Great can not wait to see the film Was hoping 1 of my 1980's sports mopeds would get a look in (1981 Suzuki X1) but looks as though ive missed out (never mind) I can relate to the storyline in shanes films as I grew up in Nottingham and was part of the Skinhead scene from early 1979 then went in to phsycobilly till i left Nottingham in 1988. I moved to Lincolnshire just down the road from were the pub that was used (joly sailor) in this is England. I was in to scooters and motorbikes and was in many scrapes through being in places where we was not supposed to be (or just not welcome)by other gangs etc. On a saturday we used to be in a large gang walking around Nottingham from Broadmarsh Center up through the Market square to the Victoria Center getting in to fights getting drunk and even Arrested (not often though was a fast runner back then) Police were to slow! How the worlds changed since back then though i go back to Nottingham regular but its changing all the time. Only a few weeks ago I saw the John Barleycorn on the corner of Broxtowe lane being pulled down sad all them memories gone with it. Anyway looking forward not back! bring on the film I can not wait. Eeeeee .... 1986 .... I was married for a year and sensible ... I was a "proper" Mum .. up till I reached about 39 then I went all wayward again.
Am looking forward to seeing this ...
I had a vespa back in 1979 .. it was far too heavy for me, being 5ft 1 and 7 stone wet through ... I decided to potter off to Skeggy on my tod one day and there is a very notorious corner near a pub called The Fox and Hounds or something like that, just outside Newark .. well ... I missed the bloody corner and went straight on, down the bank .. over turned and just lay there ...
Cars stopped .. it all became a tad dramatic .. and I lay there thinking, "Oh arse .. what do I do?" I felt fine, but because of the stunning way the scotter had PLUNGED .. PLUNGED I tell thee, down the banking, there were loads of people hanging around. I decided the best bet was to lie there for a bit and pretend I was a bit hurt ...
I was stroked and asked if I were ok and explained that the sun had hit my visor ... actually, I had been going too fast but SHHHh ...
I pottered off ... and about half an hour later the shock hit me ... I shook so much the bloody vespa was bouncing around the road and I had to stop and give myself a shake up ...
I never did get to Skegness ...

Hey they have been filming this on my estate for a couple of weeks now, i did also hear that there was a need for some maisonettes to film in, we live in the area you are filming and would be interested in letting you use our maisonette, its on a quiet bit to film right next to a wooded area. Regards Corks.....

A great idea, badly executed, because it did indeed put many people off milk. I can only deal with totally skimmed milk these days, and I don't doubt that the memories of foul, unrefrigerated milk and tiny blue straws (to pierce the foil lid of the bottle.... and the thick stagnant cream puck that had formed on the milk by the time we got to drink it). Oh man.... I feel sick again! I guess they had a lot of milk to deal with in schools then, but good grief, some kind of refrigeration should have been part of the scheme! Idiotic!

A school tradition famously ended by 'Thatcher the Milk Snatcher' of course. Boo.
