Dammit, was just about to post about this! It starts at 12.35am btw.
But i was gonna add the review its been given in "Whats On TV" I mean they're hardly reviews.. but yeah heres what it says:
"odd Paddy Considine comes between pals Romeo Brass (Andrew Shim) and Gavin (Ben Marshall). This comedy drama has great gags and also delivers with it's emotional fireworks. (GB/CANADA/1999; Cert 15) Three stars"
Can anyone spot the two obvious mistakes here? I'll tell you the first one; THREE STARS! what the hell?! Apparently three stars means "Good" no, "Whats On TV" A Room For Romeo Brass is not "Good" its EFFING BRILLIANT.
tits.

Cheers, i suppose i could've given a bit more info, like the stupid time it's on.
The Sun TV Guide gives it four out of five stars:
****Spoilerz?*****
Gritty drama about two midlands boys (Andrew Shim & Ben MArshall) who meet the sinister Morell (Paddy Considine). He then becomes a dark prescence in their lives. A Fine Film 1999/Dir Shane Meadows.

Hello everyone , Thanks for the heads up about Romeo Brass being shown on BBC2. I was delighted it was shown on BBC as you all know no advert breaks and 9 of 10 the programs will be subtitled. Was not too happy about the time 12:45 but luckily its shown on a Friday so I can have a lie in .To be honest if its in the week I still would watch it. So here I am watching TV very excited I may add the film starts subtitles going and was hooked into the film. Half way through the film the subtitles stopped for no reason.. I am sitting thinking for foooks sake!! I texted my friend cos I raved about Shane Meadows film Dead Mans Shoes and knowing that he is up watching it he had a look and no subtitles working at his end. He is hearing and after the film he said how brilliant the film is and going to buy some DVD’s . I just sat there admiring how beautifully directed film and brilliant acting too then after 15 minutes of the film the subtitles came back. Extremely frustrating and if I can’t watch the film like everybody else then I can’t join the forum and take part. There are 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people in this country according to the RNID website Please note that I have emailed the DVD distributor about adding subtitles to the film but they have yet to respond. I believe that This is England is out on DVD can anyone check for me that it carries subtitles I get a lot of email enquiries regarding this.

Man that sucks how they just stopped, thats really weird, you'd think if they started with them, they'd have them all the way through? weird. Well that sucks man, but i'm glad they came back and you got to see the majority of the film. I really hope the TIE DVD has subtitles.

My friend Brendan (who you might remember from Bro and Bagman) watched the second half of Romeo Brass on telly. He then went and watched the first half on DVD. Since then, he's been saying "Tuck into that!" a lot.

Was right chuffed when i found out this was on. I had been trying to buy the DVD for weeks but none of the major retailers had it in stock, I have since placed an order and can't wait to watch it again.
Great film.

Hello, I might well ask the same of you what the hell is a 'RyD22'? Thing is from the Marvel comic Fantastic Four, it's my username on every other forum I visit. Back on topic (sort of), can I expect lots of insightful extras on the DVD?

Back on topic (sort of), can I expect lots of insightful extras on the DVD? Sadly not. The commentary is worth the asking price though! There is a short little director's video diary ( I think that is what it's called)... which is really just some behind the scenes footage set to a spankingly good version of "If This Is Love"). It's probably only about 4 minutes. Not seen it for ages.

Lol what is a RYD22. The gentleman in question is called Ryd short for Rydian if I remember correctly and the 22 was probably his age when he created the profile, like mine I think comes up DazzaB21 but I wish I still was 21 ;D

And I wonder if Shane's ever gonna show us the scene where Morrell takes Ladene out (if I remember rightly, it was a pub and karaoke?)
