Just found evidence on Twitter of Shane at this gig and that the documentary must be well and truly confirmed! @sebfarrell tweeted: "This gig is being filmed by Shane Meadows for documentary of reformation of @thestoneroses ...proof ... pic.twitter.com/yxkPcduJ " @remote_Murphy tweeted: "Shane meadows chilling with us before hand!! #thestoneroses #stoneroses @stoneroses pic.twitter.com/PaQQlfye " Also.. just found this NME article: www.nme.com/news/the-stone-roses/63954"Film-maker Shane Meadows then went onstage to film the crowd."

Well its been a long long time since i've contributed but I currently work with a ex/founding member of the Stone Roses who obviously was at the gig last night with another work mate, wont be able to get more information until i'm back in work tomorrow but had a few messages today mentioning being filmed by Shane for this documentary.

The news on the front page has vanished... I'll have to sort that out later. i think the chaps hosting the site are changing their hardware or something, so it's all a bit shaky.
FAN REQUEST FOR SHANE... A fan on Twitter was keen to request that Shane gets plenty of footage of drummer Reni. He says that Reni and his skills have never been clearly visible in live footage of the Roses. I love watching drummers too... Feel the rhythm! ;D

So come on HMV tell us. Is your mate 'the fifth Stone Rose'? ;D Been reading some reviews-the usual stuff about Ian Brown, but I just listened to Sally Cinnamon (maybe my all time favourite) at the gig and thought he sounded pretty good Would have loved to go to this, but see why they announced it at 4pm I am really excited about seeing Shane's film. Totally briliiant that I am going to see a made for today and for posterity documentary on one of my all time favourite bands by my all time favourite film director! PS. Shane's film/doc got a mention on ToTP2 last night ;D

Still getting no joy re-updating the front page of the site with the new news! Pain in the hump! Typical that after weeks of no news, the day I add some news everything goes to pot! The news was definitely on the front page for about 12 hours before vanishing. I will get on to my IT contact!

Not much to report to be honest spoke to Pete (original Roses bassist) and Aaron who got to go with him. Aaron got to hang out Pete's mate John Robb, Reni's missus and meet Liam Gallagher but apart from seeing the cameras and (after i showed him a picture) confirming Shane was there didn't have anymore to add re the documentary. I didn't press Pete for more details as even though i've worked closely with him for over a year now its still weird talking about his history/situation. In his own words its something that happened 20 years ago although he has some amazing stories and is still great friends with the band.

Here's both sides of the business card handed out at the gig (thanks to @jby35 Joel Yates on Twitter): Interesting that an email address is provided for people's 'stories'.
