Hey up..... Finn Atkins (aka Marlene) in Once Upon a Time in the Midlands has just left a message on the Shane Meadows MySpace that I set up!
Hopefully she'll be on this message board soon as she is keen to answer any questions you lot may have about working on the film (I also promised her the 5 Stars and "Cast Member" rating too, so there's no way she can resist!).

I dint see it last night but I did see it pretty recently film4 is playing up on my freeview box.  What was it like working on a big film like that at a fairly early age? Do you have any film or TV projects at the moment? Was Rys Ifans a laugh to work with? I was watching the documentary on the DVD where Shane and Rhys went on tour and Rhys seemed like a right laugh. ;D |

Was wondering if you could give a little insight into how you felt working on Midlands? Was it daunting with the cast involved? How was Shane? etc

Was struck by quite a lot about Midlands, watched it for the first time last night, and will get to the other points at a later date. One of the most noticable things about it tho, is how Finn Atkins manages to be on an acting par with the talent involved, especially given who the talent are....I love Kathy Burke, me. Well done Finn, you were brilliant! Done anything else worth seeing?

When we went to cannes the press fell in love with Finn more than anyone else. Her performance in the film is one of the few things i am really proud of in midlands.

What breed are ya?!?!?!?!??! Arr Cannes - what an AMAZING experience!! Too young to even realise what was going on, but looking back it was immense!! In answer to the questions, Rhys Ifans is a legend!! And working on the film didn't seem 'big' to me at the time, I realise now it was with being so young and everything; but it was filmed about 10 minutes from my house so it was just like going school but a MILLION GAZILLION times better!! And with a crazy-ass teacher (Shane)!! ;D |

Hey Finn, You have a doppleganger working in Sainsbury's at beeston. I asked her if she was related to you and she said no but she did go to the carlton workshop with you. You must have carried out DNA frankenstein experiments on her as she looks like a twin sister that you have kept locked in the attic! Whatever happened to baby Fatkins!!!!!
